<description>I had my first Chicago theater experience at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre a good ten years ago. I was here in Chicago on vacation with my family and they all wanted to go on one of the ubiquitous boat rides around the lake. I, on the other hand, heard the call of someone standing outside the theater, selling tickets to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I made my choice and still think it was very wise of me.

Chicago Shakes and our compatriots who work there deserve huge congratulations. Their theatre is stunning, their productions are invigorating and the view from the bathroom, at least the women's, is not to be missed.
