It was such a phenomenal collaboration between styles, artists and ages, I can't think of a better way to celebrate the legacy and continuing relevance of blues and hip hop. I can't wait to see more performances like this one! I do believe that Hip-Hop is indeed a natural evolution of the Blues, but to actually hear the two genres mixed together--live--was amazing! Thank you Steppenwolf and thank you Sylvia Ewing for making this happen and to contiunue to give local artists (especially folks of color) the opportunity to make a further impact on our community.
